When working with Equipe Amsterdam, we were asked by ARCAM - Architecture Institute, to propose an urban intervention for the new land of Ijburg. Our temporary urban installation consisted of 1000 pickets symbolizing 1000 houses that will be built on that land in the future. By such minimalistic and abstract design we aimed to create new associations in people’s minds for this knew unknown land slowly transforming into someone’s “home” The installation has been constructed in the collaborative process thanks to participation of the local residents, urbanists, and municipality authorities.
